Students need to be supported in their ability to write in any genre and style, to understand any text they are faced with including aural and visual and to express themselves confidently across a wide range of subjects. As teachers in St Ivo we want to help all of our students to think, speak, read and write with confidence so we see addressing Literacy across the curriculum as more than merely converting Ds into Cs. If we are to effect real change for our students it is vital that students see consistency across subjects.
