Holocaust heroes
"...I visited the museum of the Holocaust...on the one
side there was Nazi Germanys torture, killing and extermination of the Jewish
people horrible and very sad. But at the same time, another side showed
those people who sacrificed their own lives in order to protect Jewish
people..."
(The Dalai Lama, 1996)
Your task is to produce a display about a Holocaust
hero/heroine. This can be on paper, or 3D. It should be informative and eye
catching
Go to Learning Zone and look at
Holocaust heroes. Subjects: Religious Education, KS3, Year 9, Holocaust.
Collect information about your chosen person: where they were born, their
upbringing, education and family.
What led them to act bravely on behalf of others?
What did they achieve?
What price did they pay?
Can you imagine being in their shoes?
What qualities of theirs do you admire?
What have you learnt from this project?
Some suggestions on how to do well:
- Dont copy. Read information and then use headings to break up your
writing.
- Collect your material before you start writing up.
- Use maps, photographs and illustrations.
- Use a computer if possible as your work will look better presented.
Stick to your teachers deadline.
