St Ivo School is one of the largest secondary schools in Cambridgeshire, and continues to go from strength to strength in what is now our sixth decade of educating the children of St Ives and the surrounding villages.

At St Ivo we have two main priorities - that all students and staff should be happy and safe at school, and that our students should get the best possible education experience from the school, to allow them to succeed to their maximum potential. Our ethos is based around these two principles enhanced by mutual respect between students, staff and other stakeholders.

Life at the school is an enriching experience. Exam results are of a high standard, with students making good progress from their starting point in Year 7, but more than that we encourage students to become involved in school life, whether this be playing for a football team at County or even national level, or producing ideas to help the environment through our "Eco Ivo" initiative. As we are the only secondary school in St Ives, community links are very important to us, as can be seen by our thriving adult education programme and our support of the town's Fair Trade campaign and Youth Council.

Whilst the size of St Ivo School allows us to offer our students a wide variety of subject choices and extra-curricular activities, we always aim to provide the level of care and support that students require. Our pastoral care system means that every student has a form tutor as their first point of contact, with the additional support of a Head of Year and other parties where needed.
