Welcome to Maths at St Ivo School!

We LOVE Maths, and we are very excited about taking you on a journey through the mathematical world around us! Maths is everywhere – shapes in construction, fractions in music, mechanics in movement and an infinite amount more!

At the start of Year 7 students are in sets for Maths, according to their targets. Maths can be boring if it’s too easy or too hard, so we like to make sure you’re being taught just at the right level to challenge and interest you.

In Year 7 and 8 lessons, we follow a scheme of work which will prepare you for the new GCSE curriculum. It is closely aligned to www.MyMaths.co.uk and we will use this website frequently to set homework and revision tasks. The students' teacher will have the school login and the individual login assigned to every student. The student will also be able to log into Kerboodle and see the textbooks that are being used in each class.
