Welcome to St Ivo School's Alumni Association
For the past six decades St Ivo School has been the only secondary school serving St Ives and its surrounding villages. Positioned right in the heart of the community, the school has educated thousands of students, many of whom have subsequently gone on to send their own children here in later years. We have some current students who are the third generation of their family to go through St Ivo School and we also employ many members of staff who are former pupils.
In 2015, to celebrate our 60th anniversary and unique role in the town we set up a new alumni association, Ivolumni, which is open to all former students and staff who are interested in 'putting something back' in to the school as well as communicating with old friends. We are also delighted to report that John Rhodes, who many former pupils will remember as the Headteacher from 1973-1993, has agreed to be Ivolumni's Honorary President.
Alumni associations are springing up in schools up and down the country as it has been recognised that former students can be a rich source of expertise and help to schools, including as career mentors, inspirational speakers and governors.
