About the Governors

St Ivo School is supported by a Governing Body of elected members. The Governing Body has a general responsibility for managing the school effectively:

Establishing school aims and policies.

Setting the school budget.

Ensuring that the National Curriculum and religious education are provided.

Selecting the Headteacher.

Appointing, promoting, supporting and disciplining other staff.

Providing outside advice and acting as a link between the local community and the school.
